I'm helping a number of staff in our organization set up their own DM. I need to know how I can "start from scratch" a totally new donor database. In other words, how can I completely delete existing data so I have a clean slate from which to set up a database for a different staff member? (I would then do a pack and go and send them their data files.)
Of course, I'll backup the existing database first!
Thanks in advance.

Jerry,
This one is easy.
Simply delete the data folder under your Donor Manager installation folder. Or, better yet, rename it to the person's name.
Then, the next time the program starts, it will detect that there is no data folder and it will offer to create a new one.
So, say you have done an initial set up for "John Smith."
You could rename the c:\donor5\data folder to "c:\donor5\john smith data".
That way you have his file if something goes wrong (just rename your data folder to something else temporarily and then rename the "john smith" folder back to "data."
I hope that helps.
