Re-highlight donations as unthanked

I mistakenly marked a donation as thanked. I want to put that yellow highlight back on it so I know that i will need to thank them in the future. I tried deleting the entry on the giving history page and then putting it back - but that did not work. I tried deleting the entry on the giving details page and then re-entering the gift but that did not work. This has happened a few times and I'd really like to know how to do this. Thank you for any help you can give me.
