Additional:
I created c:\donor6\data
Now I get an error c:\donor6\donor.dbf does not exist.
If I ignore and continue, later I get c:\donor6\gift.dbf does not exist.
Looks like whatever sets up the empty default donor.dbf and related files is not working.

Re: Invalid path or filename error in install
John, and Jerry, I get the same error message when I try to run DM 6 beta 40 on Windows 7.
I am using c:/donor6 as the default folder.
I note that there is not a c:\donor6\data like there was under c:\donor5\data. Might this be the missing folder?

Re: Recommendations for Newsletter mailing services ?
Another recommendation is www.mailchimp.com
Service is FREE for up to 500 e-mail addresses and less than 3000 e-mails sent per month. They help you build your e-mail 'campaign'. The FREE version includes an advertisement for mailchimp in each message. The paid versions don't have this ad.

AVG Error
AVG made the mistake and classified ALL FoxPro version 6 software a virus. By now, your AVG should have updated to fix this problem. You will need to recover the .exe files for Donor Manager -- perhaps downloading them if you don't have them in you AVG virus vault or can't get them out, but this sho...

AVG MAY clobber your donor.exe
Earlier this month, AVG released a set of virus definitions which found Visual FoxPro6 to be a virus. This is the program that makes donor.exe, thus donor.exe was found as a virus. If you find that your donor.exe (and other DM executables) have disappeared, they are in your Virus Vault and can be re...

Envelope Stuffing
Maybe we should ask about that service -- and applying the labels etc. But that would never leave us with an excuse for an envelope stuffing party and the GREAT TASTE of envelope glue!
